Who are we?
We are a dynamic and committed community, made up of young people and associations of young Beninese established all over the world. We work to bring together Beninese youth in the diaspora to create a solidary and inspiring network.
We have the ambition to promote exchanges and collaborations between young Beninese abroad. We believe in the capacity of our diaspora to bring added value to the economic, social and cultural development of Benin.
We firmly believe that the Benin we dream of, it's up to us to build it. That the development, order and discipline for which we sometimes envy our host countries, can also be realities at home, provided that each of us works on it wherever we are.
We are a secular and apolitical organization. We reserve, however, the right to speak out, to take a position or to participate actively in political debate with the sole aim of contributing to the development of our motherland.
Our Ambition
Our Origin
The Network of Young Beninese in the Diaspora (RJBD) was born from our desire to contribute effectively to the development of our country of origin. We observed that many associations and initiatives of young Beninese existed in the diaspora, but that they often evolved in isolation, without real collaboration or synergy.
Our Solution
Faced with this observation, we decided to create a federating framework: a melting pot of meeting, reflection and action. The RJBD wants to be an open platform where young Beninese in the diaspora can meet, exchange and unite their forces around common projects.
Our ambition is to promote cooperation and pooling of efforts for more impact in our actions, both for the international influence of our country and for its socio-economic development. Through this dynamic, we affirm our commitment to build together a strong, united network turned towards the future of Benin.
